Our story
BIRDHOUSES is a project dear to our family. A place where time passes more slowly. Here we are closer to nature, we sort our thoughts and let our worries melt away among the trees. Our baby falls asleep here to the sound of the forest, our dachshund enthusiastically discovers the forest paths again and again and we watch what new feathered neighbor has flown to us, we plant flowers and find joy in the simplicity of life in every moment.
We built our glamping site in a small valley by a stream, on a 1000 m² plot, right next to the forest in Český Krumlov. Just take the forest path and in no time you will find yourself in the historic center of the UNESCO city, without needing a car.
Every stay with us is special. We are here for you on WhatsApp, helping you plan trips, prepare romantic moments or welcome your four-legged companions. And the small gifts we prepare for our guests will remind you at home how important simple but happy moments are.
Our breakfast is authentic – made with the best ingredients from the people we know. Every bite tells the story of our gardens, friendship and love for premium products. (Un)ordinary bread and butter becomes a delicacy with us.
Everyone who visits us becomes also part of our story. Every photo, every memory, every moment shared with others helps us spread the idea that slowing down and living in harmony with nature makes sense.

2017.. on our honeymoon in Scotland we fell in love with glamping
2018.. instead of a family house, we buy a forest jungle from Scottish owners, but in Český Krumlov
2019.. we design, we invent, we dream...
2020 - 2022 ... we build after Covid
2023.. a baby boy was born to us and we are opening the first birdhouse, Fern, before Christmas 2023 in frosts of -10°C, it's warm inside, yup!
2024.. we plant flowers, trees, herbs and in the summer we open the second Borůvčí birdhouse
2025 ... we are completing the third and last house called Needles

About design
As children, we built houses in the forest – small, playful and uninhibited. We needed nothing more than branches, bark and a little imagination. Ferns were lost in soft moss, blueberries turned our fingers blue and mighty coniferous trees showed us security. No boundaries of the mind, no past or future, only now and joy.
And that's exactly what we want BOOTHS to be like. They are our "little house in the forest", a place where our imagination becomes reality. Where you will be woken up in the morning by the singing of birds, where you can have a simple, yet perfect, breakfast. Where you just need to be and nature will arrange all the spectacle.
The goal of this place is not only to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding environment, but also to feel connected to it and find deep inspiration for life in it. That is why our BOOTHS do not go against nature - they invite it inside. The forest is slowly taking them back. This slow return to nature is no coincidence. We give nature space here and let it grow with us. Beetles crawl on our walls, the bathroom under the bathtub is overgrown with moss, a blueberry bush spreads throughout the bedroom. We believe that you will enjoy your stay with us with the same joy with which we create BOOTHS for you.

The romantic birdhouse called Kapradí is a haven for all couples who want to hide from the world. Open space with a vintage clawfoot bathtub, a bedroom with a stove and a generous terrace with an outdoor living room, of course with a hammock and a comfortable chair. The two-story Blueberry, ideal for longer stays and families, is the perfect hideaway like in the summer holidays. Relaxing window that can be turned into a full-size extra bed, equipped kitchenette, spacious shower from which you can look into the treetops through the open door. Private balcony with bar stools, ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks.

We are tuning up Jehličí, which will be a cozy, earthy sewing room with its own large terrace by the stream. Instead of paintings, a forest, instead of a television, falling leaves. We are preparing for late spring 2025...
